THE MOVIE CLUB: NO. 11

Guess whose back? Not Shady, although I hear he is back too. It’s The Movie Clurrrb.

I took a siesta, a pause, a vacay, a break, a step back from reality, ooop there goes gravity.

Did you see what I did there? Worked in a second eminem reference (which is completely off topic) in just two sentences. Impressive, right?

But lets REEL it in… I am on a roll here.

So, movie club. Before I dive in, lets do a quick recap of what we have watched.

THE MOVIE CLUB:

NO. 1: SHE-DEVIL (1989)

NO. 2: ROMEO + JULIET (1996)

NO. 3: DOWN WITH LOVE (2003)

NO. 4: THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY (1999)

NO. 6: MR. & MRS. SMITH (2005) - this was a major misstep, I apologize to anyone who watched.

NO. 7: Once Bitten (1985)

NO. 8: Sugar & Spice (2001)

NO. 9: Edward Scissorhands (1990)

NO. 10: Party Girl (1995)

Also, before I get to the new movie, I should mention things are going to change. I might not do it monthly, I might not do a review, I might take 6 months off, I might pick 3 movies in like 1 week and expect you all to watch, I might pick a movie and then not watch it for months… I can do whatever I want cause this is a dictatorship. I am also now putting the movie on the front page of the blog to make it easier.

Now that we have talked about who is in charge and gone over the past picks. Let’s see talk about the new movie.

This was hands down my favorite movie growing up. I watched it so much that I feel like it shaped my personality, my interests, my preference for cheeseburgers. Michelle Pheifer eating a cheeseburger is my happy place. Also, when I met tim, he rode a motorcycle… “you wanna know, what I want in guy? well I’m looking for a dream on a mean machine with hell in his eyes” I DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO GOOGLE THE LYRICS, THIS MOVIE IS SO DEEPLY INGRAINED IN MOI! I should def discuss with my therapist if Tim is my cool rider. The movie also taught me how to spell rider. R.I.D.E.R.

Ya, it’s Grease 2. The lesser known but superior of the greases.
